Basicprinciples of safe operation

1.      Before operation, the operatorsmust wear work clothes, fasten the button and cuffs, and cannot operate themachine opening the uniform. It is forbidden to wear gloves, and don’t changeclothes or put cloth on body to prevent the machine injury when machine isrunning. The workers shall not wear sandals and slippers. Wear protectivegoggles to prevent iron splash come into the eyes.

2.      Before starting the universal lathe,the operators must wear labor protection articles correctly in accordance withthe requirement of safe operation. Check whether all parts of the lathe and itssafeguards are intact, safe and reliable or not carefully. Lubricating themachine tool, running the machine for 2-3 minutes with low speed and no-load, andchecking whether the machine running normally.

PreparatoryWork

1.      The machine has to be preheatedbefore start working. Check carefully whether the lubrication system worknormally (Adequacy of Lubricating Oil, And Enough Coolant). If the machine didnot start for a long time, first lubricate oil for each part manually;

2.      The tool the machine uses shouldbe in conformity with the specifications of the machine tools, and change the seriouslydamaged tool in time;

3.      adjust the tools, all usedtools should be forgotten inside the machine;

4.      Whether large size of shaftparts center hole is appropriate, if the center hole is too small, when machinestarting running, it is dangerous easily;

5.      Check the status of chuckclamping work;

6.      Loading and unloading chuck andheavy industries, the guide should be padded with wood or rubber.

SafetyPrecautions in the Process of Work

1.      When the machine is running, itis forbidden to wear gloves to operate; It is forbidden to touch rotating partsof the machine tool, it is strictly prohibited to pass objects across the lathe.Unloading workpieces, installation tools, supply oil and clean the chips; all operationsshould stop the machine first. Use brushes or hooks to remove iron, forbiddenwith hands.

2.      When the machine is running, itis forbidden to measure the workpiece and it is not allowed to use hands tobrake rotating chuck; When using sand paper, it should be put on file, it isforbidden to wear gloves to use sand paper, if the sand paper is torn, it is notallowed to use.

3.      When machining workpiece, itneeds to choose the cutting amount according to the requirements of machinetool technology, lest cause an accident machine overload.

4.      When the machine is processing,the tools should exit when machine stops. When cutting long axial parts, itshould use steady rest to prevent the workpiece bending deformation and hurtpeople. The bar stretch into the machine head should not exceed vertical shaftof the head, and with low speed, it should be paid attention when stretchingout.

5.      When cutting in high speed,should have protective cover. Workpiece and tool should be fixed firmly. Whenthe iron splashes seriously, should install baffle around the machine operatingarea for isolation.

6.      When the machine's running, theoperator cannot leave the machine tool. If the operator found that the machineis running abnormally, should stop the machine immediately, and please ask the maintenanceman to check and repair. When electricity happens power outage all of a sudden,shut down the machine immediately and quit working parts and tools.

7.      When machine is running, theoperator must stand sideways at the operating position. Operator’s body isfacing the turning workpiece is prohibited.

8.      When the machine runs abnormal,or have different sound or abnormal phenomenon, bearing temperature isexorbitant, should stop immediately, and report the scene management.

9.      The scrap iron or aluminum nearthe workspace should be cleared in time, lest cause injuries.

Attentionsafter Working

1.      Remove chips, wipe machinetools, and keep machine and environment clean.

2.      Pay attention to inspect orreplace damaged tools.

3.      Check the status of lubricatingoil, and coolant, and replace in a timely manner.

4.      Turn off the power and totalpower of machine tool in turn.

5.      Cleaning the operating site andfilling equipment using record.
