CNC Milling Machine Processing Range


1. Surface processing

CNC machine milling plane can be divided into the workpiece horizontal plane (XY) processing, the workpiece frontal plane (XZ) processing and the workpiece profile plane (YZ) processing. As long as the use of two and a half axis controls CNC milling machine, it can finish such a plane milling.

2. Surface processing

If milling of complex curved surface, it requires using of tri-axial even more axis simultaneous CNC milling machine.

1. Holders/Fixtures

Universal fixtures of CNC milling machine mainly include flat tongs, magnetic chuck and pressuring plate device. For processing mass or complex shape workpieces, it needs to design combination fixture; if use pneumatic and hydraulic fixture, through the program control fixture, realize loading and unloading the workpiece automatically, which can further improve the work efficiency and reduce labor intensity.

2. Cutters/Tools

Common milling cutter includes vertical milling cutter, end milling cutter, forming milling cutter and hole machining tool.


Due to the high precision work of numerical control lathe processing, and its processing process is focus and fewer parts clamping, so the choosing cutters have been put forward with higher request. So, when choose a numerical control machine tool, should consider the following issues:

(1)    CNC cutting tools’ type, specifications and accuracy level should be able to meet the requirements of CNC lathe processing.

(2)     High precision. In order to adapt to the high precision of the numerical control lathe processing and automatic tool change requirements, cutting tool must have high precision.

(3)    High reliability. To ensure that it will not have any accident or damage and potential defects during CNC machining tool processing and affect the smooth processing, cutting tool and its combination attachment must have a good reliability and strong adaptability.

(4)    High durability. The cutters processed by Numerical control lathe, no matter in rough machining or finish machining, shall have higher durability than universal machine tool, to minimize replace or repair the cutting tools and the number of tool setting, so as to improve the machining efficiency and ensure the quality of machining.

(5)    Chip breaking and chip conveying performance is good. CNClathe processing, Chip breaking and chip conveying are not like universal machine tool processing which can timely solved by artificial processing, chips are easy to wind on the cutter and workpiece, which can damage the cutters and cut the workpiece machined surface, even hurt operators and damage theequipment, and it will affect the processing quality and the safe operation of machine tool, so, good Chip breaking and chip conveying performance is required.
